Because the heads are staggered, the eye moves up the wall, which suits a tall, narrow space beside a bed or above a sofa. It is hardwired into the house wiring, so no cord runs down to an outlet. You turn it on and off with a touch switch. It doesn't dim, and since it isn't a smart device, there's no app to learn. Bulbs are not included. It comes in a Left and a Right version, so order one of each if you want both sides of a bed covered.
