Your favorite print or painting gets its own warm light, falling from above across the top of the frame. When the room goes dim, the picture is what stands out.

No electrician to book: the battery runs it, and the base fixes to the wall with the supplied hardware.
Works over deep frames as well as slim ones: choose the short arm or the longer arm.
Dim it from your seat: the remote that comes with it sets the brightness.

Description

Anterilo, a slim gold picture light

Anterilo is a slim gold tube with a narrow white diffuser along its underside, held out from a rectangular wall base on either a short curved arm or a longer one. It is cordless and charges over USB, so it can go above a picture on a wall that has no wiring near it. The light is warm 3000K and you set the brightness from the remote. It falls down the wall and over the top of the frame, so the picture is what you see lit.

Where to put it

A framed print above a living room sofa is the obvious spot. Along a hallway it gives a row of pictures their own light. It also suits a dressing mirror in a bedroom. It is IP20 and not waterproof, so keep it to indoor spots that stay dry.

In the box: picture light with remote control, USB cable, mounting hardware

How to install

The light goes on the wall on its own and nothing connects to your house electrics.

What you need: the mounting hardware that comes with the light, a pencil and a level.

Hold it above the frame or the mirror and check the height you want.
Mark the position of the rectangular base on the wall, then fix it in place.
Switch it on and set the light to the level you want from the remote.

Good to know

A very deep or thick frame can shorten how far the light reaches down the picture.
Center the bar on the frame so the light runs down the middle of the picture.

What makes it good

A gallery wall in a hallway gets its own light without an electrician.
Warm 3000K light keeps a living room soft in the evening and never shifts cool.
Leave a bedroom mirror lit and the timer switches the light off for you.
The deeper arm reaches out over a boxed canvas, while the shallow one suits a slim frame in a study.
Above a dining room sideboard a print is lit from the wall with nothing standing on the surface.

BATTERY POWER ON ANY WALL

The wall under the light is bare. There is no socket and no cord, because a rechargeable battery runs it.

The rectangular base fixes flat to the wall, so a framed print in a hallway with no wiring near it still gets its own light.

SET THE BRIGHTNESS YOURSELF

The room is bright and the bar over the painting is turned well down. You set the level from the remote.

Turned low it sits as a quiet warm glow above the painting. The light is warm white 3000K, so the color stays the same at any brightness.

THE SURFACE BELOW STAYS FREE

Fixed to the wall above the dressing mirror, the bar lights the mirror from overhead and the console below stays clear.

Nothing has to stand on the surface, so the whole console top is free for what you keep there.

Common questions

Does it need wiring or an electrician?

No. It is wireless: the battery sits inside the light and the rectangular base fixes straight to the wall, so nothing is connected to your house electrics.

Which arm depth should I choose?

The shallower depth, 5.5 in (14 cm), suits a standard frame. Choose 11.0 in (28 cm) when the frame or the display stands further off the wall. Both depths come in all three lengths.

How do I charge it?

With the USB cable that comes with it. Plug it into a USB adapter, a laptop or a power bank to charge it again.

Can I dim it, and is there a remote?

Yes. A remote control comes with the light and sets how bright it is. A timer switches the light off on its own.

What color is the light and can I change it?

It is warm white, 3000K, and it stays there. There is no cool setting. The remote changes how bright the light is, not its color.

How does it attach to the wall?

The rectangular base fixes flat to the wall using the hardware supplied, and the bar sits out in front of it on the arm.

Can I put it in a bathroom?

It is IP20 and not waterproof, so keep it out of a bathroom. Over a picture or a dressing mirror in a dry room it does the same job.

Which length should I choose?

Measure the frame or the mirror and pick the length closest to it. The three lengths are 16.9 in (43 cm), 22.8 in (58 cm) and 28.7 in (73 cm).
