Anvelio, a slim light bar for artwork

Anvelio is a slim black bar, carried on a curved arm that reaches out from a small rectangular base. A white strip runs the length of the underside and that is where the light comes from. The arm holds the bar forward of the wall, so the light drops down the face of whatever hangs below. It is cordless, so the wall it goes on needs no socket, and the USB cable brings it back to full. Touch the lamp to set the brightness and to step the light warmer or cooler.

Where to put it

Hang it over a framed print, or above a row of pictures along a hallway. It works above a dressing mirror in a bedroom, and on the wall over a desk where the light needs to come from above. A bedside wall takes it too. Indoor walls only.

How to install

The base carries the whole lamp and fixes straight to the wall, so putting it up comes down to the height you choose and the hardware your wall takes.

What you need: the USB cable that comes with the lamp, plus mounting hardware suited to your wall, either screws or adhesive.

Hold the bar against the wall above the frame and settle on the height.
Fix the base to the wall with mounting hardware, either screws or adhesive, whichever suits your wall.
Turn it on, then set the brightness and pick warm, neutral or cool light from the touch control.

Good to know

Leave clear wall above the frame for the bar, so its light has room to fall down the full height of the picture.
It is not waterproof, so keep it out of a bathroom.

What makes it good

Above a bed this lets you hold it low and warm late at night and take it brighter when you want to read. An automatic shut off timer switches the light off on its own.
