Description

Arsomel: a pair of rechargeable hanging wall sconces

Arsomel has a round wall plate and a narrow arm that reaches out and curves down at the tip. A black cord hangs from the tip and holds a tall gold-tone cylinder above a wider drum shade, which hides the bulb when you look from the side. Each sconce runs on a rechargeable battery. You don't need to run a cable through the wall. The included bulbs give warm white or cool white light. You can choose all gold or a black shade with gold fittings.

Where to put it

Hang one on each side of the bed so both nightstands stay clear, or put the pair on either side of a console in a hallway or entryway. In a living room, one next to an armchair gives you a second light in the evening. Since it runs on a battery, it also works on walls with no wiring behind them.

How to install

Fix each sconce to the wall at the height you want.
Use the remote control to work the light.

Good to know

It is a side mount sconce with the shade hanging below the arm, so pick a spot with clear space under the arm.
It runs on a rechargeable battery, so there is no wiring to connect.

What makes it good

A rechargeable battery powers it, so you can put a light on a hallway or bedroom wall that has no wiring behind it.
You get two, one for each side of the bed or for either side of an entryway console.
You also get a remote control to work the light.
Warm white suits a bedroom in the evening. Cool white gives a crisper light in a hallway.
Because it is fixed to the wall, the nightstand or living room side table stays clear for books and a glass of water.
