Asemiro Hardwired Wall Sconce

$193.00

Hallways and bedsides often have no room for a lamp, and this puts the light up on the wall instead. Pale stone and dark wood make it look like part of the room, day or night.

No outlet hunting, no cord on show: it wires into the house power inside the wall.
More of the wall lit, not one spot: light leaves the open top and bottom and spreads above and below.
Your own piece of real stone: natural beige travertine, pitted and veined differently on each sconce.

Description

Asemiro, a tall travertine cylinder wall light

Asemiro is a long natural beige travertine cylinder held on a dark wood backplate. The stone is pitted and veined differently on every piece. Because the cylinder is opaque, the light leaves through the open top and the open bottom, spreading above and below it on the wall. Two E27 bulbs do the work and they are included. It wires into your home power system, so the connection sits inside the wall and nothing runs down from it to the floor.

Where to put it

Asemiro works on a wall that needs its own light. Put it behind a sofa in the living room, or beside the bed instead of a nightstand lamp. Two of them go above banquette seating in a dining area, and a hallway wall takes it too.

Size and details

Type: wall sconce that sends light up and down
Base: dark wood backplate
Material: wood and stone, natural beige travertine
Light source: two E27 LED bulbs
Power: AC 90 to 260V, hardwired to the home power system
Mounting: wall mounted, hardwired
In the box: the sconce and its two E27 bulbs

How to install

Asemiro mounts on the wall and wires into your home power system.

Choose the spot and the height first. The sconce is 12.6 in (32 cm), so leave clear wall above and below it.
It fixes to the wall, and the wiring joins your home supply at that point.
The two bulbs that come in the box go in before the sconce is used.

Good to know

Settle the wall before anything else, since Asemiro fixes to the wall and is hardwired and the spot stays as you set it.
Decide how the light will be switched before it goes up.

What makes it good

It is hardwired inside the wall, so no cord runs down the living room wall behind the sofa.
Light leaves the top and the bottom of the cylinder and lays a glow above and below it on a plain bedroom wall.
The stone is natural beige travertine, pitted and veined differently on each piece, so two of them on a dining wall carry their own markings.
Two E27 bulbs are included, so you can light the wall the evening it goes up.
It is wall mounted, so it works beside a bed or on a hallway wall where a lamp has nowhere to stand.

HOME POWER BEHIND THE WOOD

Asemiro is hardwired to the home power system, so the power reaches it inside the wall and no cord runs down from the sconce.

It is wall mounted, and the fixture connects to the house wiring at the wall, so there is no outlet to find nearby.

LIGHTS THE FIRST NIGHT

Two E27 LED bulbs are included, so the sconce can light the wall the same evening it goes up.

The light comes from those two bulbs and leaves through the open ends.

TWO POOLS ON THE WALL

The sconce sends light up and down, so it spreads above and below the cylinder on the wall instead of staying at one height.

It goes on the wall, so a pair can go above banquette seating where a lamp has nowhere to stand.

Common questions

Do I get bulbs with it?

Yes. Two E27 bulbs come in the box, so you have the bulbs you need on the day it goes up.

What bulbs does it take?

It takes two E27 bulbs, and they come with it.

How is it powered?

It runs on AC 90 to 260V and is hardwired to the home power system, so the connection is made inside the wall rather than at an outlet.

Is it rechargeable?

No. It is not rechargeable, so there is nothing to charge. It draws its power from your home wiring.

What does the stone look like?

The cylinder is natural beige travertine, with a pitted surface and veining that runs differently across each piece, so the one you get has its own markings. The stone itself stays opaque and the light leaves the open ends.

How is it fixed up?

It is wall mounted and hardwired, so the sconce fixes to the wall and the wiring joins the house wiring there.

What is it made of?

Wood and stone. The cylinder is the stone part, in natural beige travertine, and the dark wood backplate sits behind it against the wall.
