Brighter or softer right at the wall: in touch mode, a touch on the lamp changes the level.

Description

Ciloreva, a rechargeable wall light with touch dimming

Ciloreva is a flat rectangular panel with softly rounded corners and a band across the middle. Switched on, the panel glows above and below that band. There is no cord. Its rechargeable battery charges over USB, so no wiring runs to it. The switch has three positions: touch mode, off and always on. In touch mode, one touch sets the light to 5%, 50% or 100%. The light is warm white, and it comes as a set of two lamps in black or white.

Where to put it

Mount it beside the bed to keep the nightstand clear, or on a hallway or landing wall with no outlet. In a living room it gives a low, warm light for the evening. It is not water resistant, so use it on indoor walls only.

How to install

This sconce runs on its own rechargeable battery and fixes to the wall with no wiring.

What you need: A USB cable to charge the battery.

Charge the battery with a USB cable before you put the lamp up.
Fix the lamp to the wall where you want the light. The attachment needs no wiring, so nothing connects to your house electrics.
Set the switch to I for touch mode, to II to keep it on, or to O to turn it off.
In touch mode, touch the lamp to choose 5%, 50% or 100% brightness.

Good to know

Touch dimming works only with the switch set to I. On II the light simply stays on.
It is not water resistant, so keep it on an indoor wall.

What makes it good

It works off a rechargeable battery, so a hallway or landing wall without an outlet can still have its own light.
In touch mode, a touch sets it to 5%, 50% or 100%, so you can keep the light low in a bedroom at night.
Mounted beside the bed, it leaves the whole nightstand free for a book and a glass of water.
The warm white light suits a quiet evening in the living room.
With the switch set to II it stays on, which is handy for a hallway you walk through every evening.

Common questions

How is it powered?

It runs on a rechargeable battery that you charge with a USB cable, so it gives light on a wall with no outlet near it.

Does it need wiring to mount?

No. It is wall mounted with an attachment that needs no wiring, and the battery powers it, so nothing connects to your house electrics.

Can I dim it?

Yes. With the switch set to I, a touch sets it to 5%, 50% or 100% brightness.

What do the switch positions do?

I is touch mode, where a touch sets the brightness. O turns it off. II keeps it on all the time.

What color is the light?

Warm white, between 2700K and 3500K.

Can I use it outdoors or in a bathroom?

No. It is not water resistant and is made as an indoor wall light, so keep it out of a bathroom and off outdoor walls. For light beside a mirror, put it next to a dressing mirror in a bedroom.
