Corsavel Bird Wall Sconce

$127.00

After dark the pale belly of the bird lights up, and a glow spreads across the wall beside it. An ordinary corridor becomes a spot you notice.

Nothing hanging down the wall: it is hardwired, connected to your house wiring at the wall.
One less thing to buy: the LED light source is included with the sconce.
Good to look at in daylight too: the reflective gold top stands out against the black arm.

Description

Corsavel, a gold bird LED wall sconce

Corsavel is a sculpted bird with a pointed head and a long tapered tail. It perches on a straight black arm that reaches out from the wall. The top of the bird has a reflective gold finish, and the underside is a pale acrylic shade. The LED light source comes with the sconce. When the light is on, the pale underside glows and light falls on the wall beside it. The sconce is hardwired into the house wiring at the wall, and it is not dimmable. The bird is aluminum and the body is iron, plated in black and gold.

Where to put it

Put it on a hallway or landing wall, beside a bedroom door, or above a console in an entryway. In a living room it gives a bare stretch of wall a small sculpture that also gives light. It is made for interior lighting and is not water resistant, so keep it indoors.

Good to know

It is hardwired, so choose a spot on the wall where it can be connected to the house wiring.
It is made for interior lighting and is not water resistant, so keep it indoors.

What makes it good

Because it is hardwired at the wall, no cord runs down the hallway or bedroom wall below the bird.
The LED is included, so you have no bulb to buy before the first evening you use it in the living room.
Even with the light off, the gold bird on its black arm gives a plain landing or entryway wall something to look at.
The single bird is 8.3 in (21 cm) wide, so it can sit on a strip of hallway wall beside a door frame.
The pale acrylic underside lights up beneath the bird, so a bedroom wall gets a small lit sculpture instead of a plain fixture.

Common questions

Does it plug in or is it hardwired?

It is hardwired. It connects to the house wiring at the wall, not to an outlet.

Is the bulb included?

Yes. It uses an LED light source, and that light source comes with the sconce, so you don't need to buy anything extra for the light.

Can I dim it?

No. This sconce is not dimmable.

How big is it?

The bird measures 7.1 in (18 cm) tall and 8.3 in (21 cm) wide.
