Description

Ilsaren, a folded glass petal wall light

Ilsaren has a frosted glass shade with a broad, wavy upper rim, deep vertical folds and a rounded point at the bottom. On the wall it looks like an open petal or a shell. A small dark fitting sits under the glass. It takes an E14 LED bulb, which is included, and you turn it on and off with a knob switch. The cord plugs into a wall outlet, so you don't have to plan any new wiring. The metal parts are wrought iron and plated metal. You can choose the color of the glass.

Where to put it

Put one beside the bed instead of a table lamp, or hang one on each side of a dressing mirror in a bedroom. It also works on a living room wall near an outlet, above a console in a hallway, or on a landing. It is made for indoor lighting, so keep it inside the house.

What makes it good

Because it plugs into a wall outlet, you can add a light to a living room or bedroom wall without new wiring.
Even with the light off, the folded glass shade gives a bare hallway wall a shape to look at.
A knob switch controls the light.
The glass comes in several colors, so you can pick one that matches your bedroom or living room.
Mounted on the wall above a hallway console, it leaves the top free for keys and post.
