Light shines through the folded glass, so the whole shell glows in its own color and a soft halo rises up the wall. Your room gets gentle evening light instead of a harsh beam.

Decor even when it is off: the folded glass shell gives a bare wall shape in daylight.
A color that suits your room: the glass shade comes in ivory, green, brown or red.
More room on the table below: it lives on the wall, so the console or floor underneath stays clear.

Description

Lanorvi, a shell shaped glass wall sconce

Lanorvi's shade is a cupped shell of glossy glass. It has a wavy upper edge and deep vertical folds, and it is broad at the top and tapers to a rounded point, with a small dark fitting underneath. It takes two E14 bulbs, which sit behind the glass. When they are on, the shade glows in its own color, light spills out of the open top onto the wall above, and a smaller glow falls below. The room gets soft background light, and the wall gets a sculptural piece. The fixture is made of iron and glass.

Where to put it

Fix it to a living room wall beside the sofa, a bedroom wall next to the bed, or a hallway wall above a console table.

Good to know

Leave room on the wall for the canopy, which is 4.7 in (12 cm) wide.
It takes two E14 bulbs.

What makes it good

On a living room wall it adds color and a sculpted shape, and it still looks like decor when the light is off.
In a bedroom the glass glows from inside and sends light up the wall above the shade.
In a hallway it mounts on the wall, which leaves the console table or the floor below clear.
Ivory suits a pale wall. Pick green, brown or red if you want the glass to stand out.
Above a sideboard in a dining room, two E14 bulbs light the folded glass shade, which sits on an iron fitting.

LIGHT FROM A WALL OUTLET

Pick a spot on the wall above a bedside table, such as the wall beside the bed.

NO FLOOR LAMP NEEDED

It is a wall sconce, so it lights the area above an empty wooden console table from the wall, and the floor below stays open with no floor lamp in the way.

The folded glass shell comes in ivory, green, brown or red, so you can pick the shade that matches a color already in the room.
