Description

Larevio, a plug-in sconce with a fabric shade

A tall fabric shade sits above a shallow turned wood disc. A brass-toned stem rises from the disc, with a pointed finial below. Light filters through the fabric onto the surrounding wall. Larevio plugs into an outlet, with an inline cord control to switch it on. Choose a single shade or a symmetrical pair on a shared wall plate. The shades come in white, green or red, each with the same tapered cone form.

Where to put it

Place Larevio on the bedroom wall beside the bed, where the fabric shade softens the light in the evening. It also suits a reading nook where you want light beside the chair, or the wall above an entryway console where keys and mail sit under the shade.

Power: Plugs into an outlet; AC 110 to 240 V, 50/60 Hz; US plug
Mounting: Wall backplate secured with mounting hardware
Use: Bedroom, living room, reading nook and entryway
In the box: The lamp, which arrives unassembled, E14 warm white bulbs (one per head), mounting hardware and an English instruction manual

How to install

The lamp arrives unassembled. Put it together, fix the backplate to the wall and run the cord to an outlet.

What you need: Everything is in the box: the mounting hardware, the instruction manual and the E14 bulbs

Assemble the lamp following the English instruction manual in the box.
Choose a position where the cord can reach an outlet.
Secure the wall backplate with the mounting hardware.
Fit the included E14 bulbs, one in each socket.
Plug in the cord and switch the light on at the inline control.

Good to know

For a replacement, use an E14 bulb up to 40 W equivalent.
US candelabra (E12) bulbs are smaller and do not fit the E14 socket.

What makes it good

The fixture plugs into a nearby outlet, so it can light a finished entryway wall above a console.
The tapered fabric shade spreads the light onto the wall around a living room seating corner.
Warm white bulbs come in the box, so the light suits a reading nook in the evening from the first night.
Mounting the fixture on the wall leaves the bedside table free for your books.
Both versions come in the same shade colors, so a single bedside light matches a double fixture across the bedroom.

Common questions

Do I need an electrician to put it up?

No. The backplate attaches to the wall with mounting hardware and the cord runs to an outlet, so no junction box or house wiring is involved. On the double version, both heads share one backplate.

Are bulbs included, and which ones do I need?

Yes. E14 warm white bulbs come in the box, one per head. For a replacement, use an E14 bulb up to 40 W equivalent. US candelabra (E12) bulbs are smaller and do not fit.

Does the cord switch dim the light?

The inline switch only turns the light on and off. There is no built-in dimmer. To dim the light you need an external dimming device together with a dimmable bulb.

Can I switch the two heads on separately?

No. The double version has one cord, one plug and one inline switch that controls both sockets together.

What is different about the single and double versions?

The single version has one tapered shade in front of a round wall plate. The double version has two shades spreading symmetrically from one shared central wall plate. Both versions are offered in the same shade colors.

Which shade colors can I choose?

The shades are available in white, green and red. Each color has the same tapered form, paired with brown wood details and brass-toned hardware.

Can furniture make the cord less visible?

Yes. Positioning the fixture above furniture or near a corner can make the descending cord less noticeable.

How do I clean the fabric shade?

Dust it with a soft brush or a dry cloth. Keep it away from moisture and out of direct sunlight, which fades the fabric over time.
