Description

Lasirel, a small wall light that tilts

Lasirel is a short cylinder with a round light face ringed by fine ridges, held off the wall on a ball joint. Push the head and it swings to point down the wall or out into the room, so the light lands where you aim it. It is cordless, so no cable runs down the wall. Turn it on with the button on the light, then the remote sets the brightness and picks warm, neutral or cool light. The finish is black or white.

Where to put it

Put one on either side of the bed at head height for reading, where it takes the place of a table lamp. It also works on a hallway wall, or inside a closet or a cabinet that has no light fitting. Aim the head at a picture or a shelf for accent light.

Charge time: under 3 hours to a full charge
Mounting: base fixed to the wall with adhesive backing or screws, no wiring
Use: indoor rooms, bedside, hallway, closets and cabinets
In the box: the wall light or set you order, with remote control

How to install

The light goes up without any wiring. The base fixes to the wall either with adhesive backing or with screws.

What you need: the mounting hardware for the base.

Charge the light with a USB cable before you put the base up.
Hold the base against the wall and check the height. Beside a bed, hold it at about head height when you are sitting up.
If your base has adhesive backing, press it onto the wall. To use screws, mark the holes through the base and fix the base to the wall.
Turn the head until the light points at the spot you want lit.
Turn it on with the touch control on the light, then set the brightness and the color from the remote.

Good to know

You can change where the light points long after the base is up.
The night light setting leaves a low light on in a bedroom at night.

What makes it good

It runs on a battery, so a bedside or hallway wall with no socket still gets light.
The head turns, so you can aim the light at your book in bed or at a shelf.
A remote picks warm 2700K, neutral 4000K or cool 5700K light.
Switch between the reading setting and the night light setting to read in bed or leave a low light on.
Fixed inside a closet or a cabinet, it lights a shelf that has no fitting of its own.

IT GOES UP WITHOUT WIRING

Nothing plugs in, so the light can go on a hallway wall that has no socket anywhere near it.

Fix the base at the height that suits you. Nothing has to be run along the wall to reach it.

THE HEAD LIFTS OFF

A magnet holds the head on the base, so it comes away from the wall and goes with you to a desk, a shelf or a drawer you are digging through.

Set it back on the base and the magnet takes it again. The head comes off the same way when you want to charge it.

THE SHELF NEEDS NO LAMP

Fixed to the side wall of a closet or a cabinet, it lights the shelf from above without standing on it.

A closet with no light fitting of its own gets one, and the shelf below keeps its full depth for what you store there.

Common questions

Does it need wiring or an electrician, and how does it fix to the wall?

No wiring and no electrician. It runs on a battery, and the base goes onto the wall with adhesive backing or with screws, so nothing connects to your house electrics.

Can I aim the light where I want it?

Yes. The head turns, so you can point it down at a book in bed or out across the room.

How do I charge it?

Charge it with a USB cable. Charge it again when the light fades.

Can I dim it and change the color of the light?

Yes. The brightness is adjustable and there are three color settings, warm 2700K, neutral 4000K and cool 5700K, all set from the remote.

Is there a remote, and how do I use it?

A remote comes with both colors. Turn the light on with the touch control on the light first, then use the remote.

Can I use it as a bedside reading light and as a night light?

Yes. It has a reading light setting and a night light setting, so you can turn the head toward your book to read and then leave a low light on in the bedroom.
