The lamp takes one E27 LED bulb, which sits between the two shades and stays hidden, so you see the dome and the light it casts on the wall. The lamp runs on a cord that plugs into a wall outlet, so you'll want to put it where an outlet is close by. Choose the color you like, and the lamp still works as a bit of wall decoration when the light is off.
