Lassivor Plug-In Wall Sconce

$143.00

Put a soft glow beside your armchair or bed and keep the table below free for everything else. The white shade softens the light, so the wall around it glows gently.

No electrician, no rewiring: it runs from a cord that plugs into a wall outlet.
On and off right at the lamp: a push button switch is on the cord.
Choose the light's character yourself: no bulb comes with it, so you fit the bulb you prefer.

Description

Lassivor, a slim white wall light

Lassivor is narrow and upright, 4.7 in (12 cm) across and 11.8 in (30 cm) tall. It mounts on the wall, so it uses no table space. The white shade hides the bulb and the socket, with dark supports inside. Power comes from a plug-in cord, 59 in (149.9 cm) of it, and the push-button switch sits on the cord within reach. The bulb is yours to choose, in an E26 or E27 base.

Where to put it

Next to a bed it does what a table lamp does and leaves the nightstand clear. On a hallway wall near an outlet it lights a spot where furniture will not fit. In a living room it goes on the wall above a side table by an armchair. It is made for indoor use and it is not waterproof.

Size and details

Type: cylindrical shaded wall lamp
Sizes: 4.7 in (12 cm) across, 11.8 in (30 cm) tall
Finish: white shade
Light source: bulb not included; takes an LED or Edison bulb with an E26 or E27 base
Dimming: not dimmable
Control: push-button on/off switch on the cord; not a smart device
Power: AC, plug-in cord 59 in (149.9 cm) long
Mounting: wall mounted
Use: indoor only, not waterproof

How to install

The lamp fixes to the wall and takes its power from a cord that plugs in, so your house wiring stays as it is.

What you need: An outlet within reach of the 59 in (149.9 cm) cord.

Fix the lamp to the wall where you want the light, within reach of an outlet.
Fit a bulb with an E26 or E27 base.
Plug the cord in and press the switch to light it.

Good to know

No bulb comes with the lamp, so buy one before you put it up.
It is made for indoor use and it is not waterproof.

What makes it good

Because it plugs in, a bedroom wall with no wiring in it can still hold a light.
The switch is on the cord. There is no app to set up and nothing to pair.
You pick the bulb yourself, so the light can match the other lamps in a living room.
At 4.7 in (12 cm) across, it fits a narrow strip of hallway wall that has no room for a table or a floor lamp.
Mounting it on the wall keeps the nightstand, or the side table next to an armchair, free for your books.

THE SHADE SOFTENS THE GLOW

What lands on the wall is a soft spread rather than a hard beam, which suits a corner you sit in during the evening.

It measures 4.7 in (12 cm) across and 11.8 in (30 cm) tall.

ON AND OFF AT HAND

The switch is a push button on the cord itself, so the lamp is what you reach for when you want the light on or off.

It is not a smart device, so there is no app and nothing to pair. One press lights it and another turns it off.

MOUNTED CLEAR OF THE FURNITURE

The lamp is wall mounted, so the light sits beside the seating instead of standing on the table next to it.

It measures 4.7 in (12 cm) across and 11.8 in (30 cm) tall, so it asks for wall space and leaves the top of a side table for books and a glass.

Common questions

Are bulbs included?

No. Bulbs are not included, so plan on buying one with the lamp.

What bulb base does it take?

An E26 or E27 base, and you can use either an LED bulb or an Edison bulb in it.

How do I switch it on and off?

With the switch on the cord. You press it on the cord, so the light goes on and off at the lamp itself.

Can I dim it?

No. The lamp is not dimmable, and it is not a smart device either, so there is no app or remote behind it. The switch on the cord turns it on and off.

What power does it need?

It runs on AC power through its plug-in cord, which is 59 in (149.9 cm) long. Nothing connects to the house wiring, so measure from the outlet to the spot you have in mind.

Can I use it outdoors or in a wet room?

No. It is made for indoor use and it is not waterproof, so keep it out of a bathroom. Beside a bed or above a side table in a living room it does the same job in a dry room.

How big is it?

It is 4.7 in (12 cm) across and 11.8 in (30 cm) tall, which is narrow enough for a slim piece of wall between a door and a frame.

Does it need wiring into the wall?

It is wall mounted, and because it plugs in there is nothing to connect to your house electrics.
