Description

Loranno, a shaded sconce with touch dimming

Loranno has a tapered shade above a slender stem that ends in a small rounded finial below the circular backplate. Light spreads down beneath the shade with a little glow above it, so it sits well beside a bed or over a desk. Touch the lamp to set the brightness, and pick from three light colors: warm, neutral or white. It charges over USB. The body is iron and acrylic, in black or gold.

Where to put it

Put Loranno on the wall beside the bed, within reach of where you sleep, so you can take the light down without getting up. Over a study desk it lights your work and leaves the surface free. A pair either side of a mirror works too, since each lamp takes only a short run of wall.
