Description

Lorsenta, a dome sconce with a bird

Lorsenta sits on a round wooden wall plate. From the plate, a straight arm reaches out to a wooden collar and a dome shade that faces down. A small bird ornament perches on top, which makes the sconce a piece of wall decor as well as a light. The shade and arm come in a matching color, and the wood keeps its natural look. It takes an E27 bulb of your choice (not included). Light falls below the shade onto the wall and the area under it. This is a plug-in light, and its cord goes into a wall outlet.

Where to put it

Put it beside the bed in a bedroom, on a living room wall over an armchair, or on a short stretch of hallway or landing wall near a door. It is small, so it fits spots where a wider sconce would crowd the wall. Pick a place within reach of a wall outlet.

How to install

Lorsenta is a wall-mounted sconce that runs from a wall outlet. Once it is on the wall, two things light it.

Fit an E27 bulb into the socket under the dome shade.
Plug the cord into the nearest wall outlet.

Good to know

The bulb is not included, so buy the E27 bulb you want along with the sconce.
Plan the spot around your outlets: the sconce needs one within reach of its cord.

What makes it good

The cord plugs into a wall outlet, so you can put a sconce on a living room wall without new wiring.
It measures 5.9 in (15 cm) wide and 7.5 in (19 cm) high, which is small enough for a narrow hallway wall beside a door.
On a bedroom wall, the bird ornament is a decorative piece that still looks good in daylight.
It takes an E27 bulb, which is not included, so you pick the bulb for a bedroom or a landing.
Because the dome faces down, light falls on the wall and on whatever sits under the sconce, such as a console in an entryway.

YOUR BULB UNDER THE DOME

It has an E27 socket and the bulb is not included, so the bulb you fit is your own choice.
