Light without an outlet nearby: a rechargeable battery runs it, and it charges over USB.

Description

Melavor, a rechargeable rectangular wall light panel

Melavor is a tall rectangle of light with softly rounded corners and a plain band across the middle. The sections above and below the band light up, and the glow spreads onto the wall around it. It is cordless and runs on a rechargeable battery, so you don't have a cord hanging down the wall or any wiring to sort out. It charges over USB and attaches to the wall. It switches on with a touch.

Where to put it

Put it on the wall beside the bed for a soft glow, or on a bedroom wall with no outlet nearby. It also fits the narrow strip of hallway wall beside a doorframe, a stair landing, or a living room wall by the sofa as a second light in the evening.
