Mernavo Rechargeable Wall Sconce

$165.00

A plain wall picks up natural texture from pale, pitted stone and a round wooden head. Even switched off it looks like a small piece of decor, and at night it adds a gentle glow.

Nothing to wire and no cord down the wall: it is battery powered and charges with a USB cable.
Turn it low for quiet evenings: the brightness adjusts.
Room to walk past in a narrow hall: the head sits close to the wall.

Description

Mernavo, a stone and wood rechargeable sconce

Mernavo has a tall, narrow backplate of yellow travertine and a short round head in dark or light wood. The stone is pale and pitted. A white acrylic face sits in the head, lit by a built-in LED. The head reaches 4.7 in (12 cm) out from the wall, and the whole light is 9.1 in (23 cm) tall. It runs on a rechargeable battery that charges with a USB cable, and a full charge lasts about 4 hours. You can adjust the brightness to keep it low or turn it up. The head comes off.

Where to put it

Hang it on a hallway or entryway wall with no outlet nearby, or beside the bed instead of a table lamp. In a living room it sits close to the wall next to an armchair or sofa, where a floor lamp would take up space. It's for indoor use only and has an IP20 rating.

Fix the lamp to the wall where you want the light.
There is no wiring to connect.
Adjust the brightness to suit the room.

Good to know

It is made for indoor use only, is rated IP20 and is not waterproof.
A full charge gives about 4 hours of light.

What makes it good

Because it has a rechargeable battery, it can light a hallway or entryway wall that has no outlet.
Even with the light off, the yellow travertine backplate and wood head give a bedroom wall something to look at.
The brightness adjusts, so you can keep it low beside the bed at night.
The head projects only 4.7 in (12 cm), so it sits close to the wall next to an armchair or along a narrow hallway.
With a built-in LED, you don't need to buy a bulb for a bedroom or living room.
