Milorena, a jointed wall lamp you aim

Milorena carries a black dome shade on two slim arm sections that reach out from an upright walnut wood chassis with gold colored joints. The underside of the shade is open, so you see the bulb and the light falls on whatever sits below. Both arm joints swing up and down. The base turns 180 degrees to either side, and the shade itself turns 350 degrees and lifts 50 degrees, so you aim the light by hand instead of shifting any furniture. Its cord plugs into a wall outlet, and it takes one E27 LED bulb that you pick yourself. The warm wood plays against the black arms and black shade.

Where to put it

Mount it above a home office desk and turn the shade down onto your work. Next to a bed it does what a bedside lamp does, without taking up room on the table. In a living room it works on the wall behind an armchair, where you can aim the shade at a book.

This one is wall mounted and needs some assembly, and its cord plugs into a wall outlet.

What you need: An E27 LED bulb, which does not come with the lamp.

Hold the lamp where you want it and pick the height, with the walnut wood chassis flat against the wall.
Assemble the lamp and fix the chassis to the wall, then plug the cord into a wall outlet.
Fit an E27 LED bulb into the socket, since the lamp comes without one.
Turn the arms and the shade to aim the light where you want it.
