Description

Moranel, a mushroom lamp that runs on USB power

Moranel is shaped like a mushroom. A broad, rounded shade sits on a short stem that flares out into a round foot. When you switch it on, the LED bulbs under the shade light its underside, and the glow shows below the rim onto the table around it. The light source is LED bulbs on an E14 base, 4 W. The finish is glossy, and the shade and base are the same color.

Where to put it

Put it on a bedroom nightstand, a home office desk or a side table by the living room sofa. A bookshelf or dresser works well too. Choose a spot where the USB cable can reach a USB port.

You control it by touch, which is handy on a bedside table when you're settling down for the night.
Light shows below the rim and across the underside of the shade, so a living room side table gets a glow in the evening.
The mushroom shape and glossy finish make it a cheerful bit of decor on a bookshelf or bedroom dresser.
