Description

Movantel, a lit moon disc for indoor walls

Movantel is a shallow circular disc with a narrow black rim around it. The face carries a detailed gray lunar image with craters and broader darker patches. When it's on, the moon face itself glows, so what the wall holds is a picture instead of a fitting pointed at the room. It runs on AC power with a 100 to 240 V input. A remote control sets the white: warm white for the evening, natural white, or cold white for daytime rooms. The body is iron in a black finish, and the shade is round acrylic.

Where to put it

Give it a clear stretch of wall in a bedroom, above a dresser or beside the bed, with the lit face near eye level. It also works on a living room wall behind the sofa, or on a hallway wall with no room for furniture. This is an indoor lamp, so keep it to rooms inside the house.

How to install

Movantel is a surface mounted wall lamp, so putting it up comes down to choosing the wall and the height.

What you need: a flat stretch of wall at the height you want

Pick the wall and hold the lamp against the surface to see how the moon face sits at that height.
Fix it flat to the wall surface where you want it.
It runs on AC power, with a 100 to 240 V input.
Set the white you want, from warm white through natural white to cold white.

Good to know

This is an indoor lamp, so keep it to rooms inside the house.
Cold white reads well in a daytime room, and warm white suits the evening.

What makes it good

The lunar face is the part that lights up, so a bedroom wall holds a moon instead of a plain fitting.
A remote control sets the light, so you can change it from the sofa in the living room.
Warm white suits a bedroom in the evening. Cold white suits a hallway during the day.
It is surface mounted, so a plain stretch of hallway wall can be where it goes.
The black metal rim stays quiet at the edge, which leaves the moon face as the thing you notice in a living room.

A LUNAR FACE THAT GLOWS

This is a round indoor LED moon wall lamp, so what lights on the bedroom wall is a moon rather than a lamp shade.

The round shade is acrylic, set inside a black metal body, and the rim stays dark so the face is what you see.

SET TO WARM WHITE

The white is adjustable from 3000K warm white, through natural white, to 6500K cold white.

A remote control sets it, so the light changes from the sofa rather than at the wall.

A PLAIN WALL BECOMES ARTWORK

It is surface wall mounted, so it goes onto a plain stretch of hallway wall and sits flat against it.

Indoor rooms are where it belongs, and a hallway that has no space for furniture is one of them.

Common questions

How is the light controlled?

By remote control. You set the lamp from where you are sitting rather than at the fixture itself.

Can I change the color of the white light?

Yes. The white is adjustable from 3000K warm white through natural white to 6500K cold white, so the same moon can read warm late in the evening or cold and white in the middle of the day.

What is it made of?

An iron body in a black metal finish, with a round acrylic shade that carries the lunar face.

How does it go up?

It is a surface wall mounted lamp. It fixes to the wall surface and sits flat against it, so a bare stretch of wall is all the space it asks for.

Is it meant for indoor rooms?

Yes. It is an indoor lamp, made for rooms inside the house such as a bedroom, a living room or a hallway.

What voltage does it take?

It takes AC power, with an input range of 100 to 240 V.
