Read in bed with the light pooled on your page instead of spread across the room. Turn the head and the same lamp sends a glow up the wall when you just want to unwind.

No electrician to call: the cord plugs into a wall outlet.
Your nightstand stays clear: the lamp mounts on the wall beside the bed.
Switch it from below the lamp: the knob sits on the cord, not up on the wall.

Description

Netirama, a wood wall light that turns

Netirama is a small bell shaped iron shade on a short wood cylinder that stands off the wall, and the cable drops from underneath. The mouth of the shade is open and the sides are solid, so the light goes one way and lands wherever you have set the head. The head turns a full circle. One E14 LED bulb goes in the socket, the cable runs 47.2 in (120 cm) to an outlet, and a knob on the cord puts the light on and off. The shade is black, gray or white against the wood grain.

Where to put it

Beside the bed it sits at reading height, and the head turns down over the pillow. In a living room, put one above an armchair or a sideboard. It also fits a narrow hallway wall above a console. Pick a spot with an outlet below so the cable reaches.

Size and details

Type: Wall sconce with a head that rotates 360 degrees
Size: 4.3 in (11 cm) across, 3.9 in (10 cm) high
Material: Solid wood with a forged iron shade and an aluminum body; black, gray or white shade
Light source: One E14 LED bulb
Dimming: Not dimmable
Control: Knob switch on the cord
Use: Indoor, dry spaces

How to install

The lamp fixes to the wall and its cord plugs into a wall outlet.

What you need: An outlet within the cable's 47.2 in (120 cm) reach of the spot you choose

Fix the lamp to the wall at the height you want the light.
Fit one E14 LED bulb into the socket.
Run the cable down and plug it into the outlet.
Turn the light on at the knob.
Turn the head until the light points where you want it.

Good to know

It is not dimmable, so the light stays at the one level.
At 4.3 in (11 cm) across and 3.9 in (10 cm) high, it leaves most of a narrow wall clear.

What makes it good

The head turns a full circle. Aim it down at a book in bed, or up the wall in a living room.
It plugs into an outlet on a 47.2 in (120 cm) cable, which means a bedroom wall with no light point above the bed can still carry a lamp.
The switch is a knob on the cord, below the lamp rather than up on the wall.
At 4.3 in (11 cm) across, it suits a narrow hallway wall or the strip beside a headboard.
The solid wood base sits under an iron shade in black, gray or white, so you can pick a shade that goes with your bedroom or living room walls.

TURN THE LIGHT FULL CIRCLE

The head rotates 360 degrees, so the open mouth of the shade can face down over the bed, up the wall or sideways.

Once the head is where you want it, the knob switch on the cord puts the light on and off.

Common questions

What size is this wall lamp?

It is 4.3 in (11 cm) across and 3.9 in (10 cm) high, so it takes up a small patch of wall.

Can I turn the lamp head?

Yes. The head rotates 360 degrees, so you can set the open mouth of the shade facing down, up the wall or off to one side.

How do I switch it on?

With the knob on the cord, so the control hangs below the lamp rather than sitting up on the wall.

Which bulb does it take?

One E14 LED bulb goes into the socket inside the shade.

Is the lamp dimmable?

No. It is not dimmable, so the knob switch takes the light on and off at one level.
