Description

Nevalto rechargeable sconce with a glass shade

Nevalto is a wireless sconce. Its downward-facing glass shade sits on a plated metal fixture with a round backplate, so the light falls down the wall. The included bulb is a rechargeable LED on an E27 base. It runs on a rechargeable battery that you charge with a USB cable, which means you can put it where there is no outlet. You can dim it steplessly from 0% to 100% and choose warm 3000K, 6000K white or one of 12 RGB colors. There are also Fade and Smooth modes, along with a timer function and a memory mode.

Where to put it

Put it on the wall beside a bed to keep the nightstand clear, or on a hallway or landing wall with no outlet. In a living room it adds a second light beside an armchair, and its RGB colors suit a den or a guest room. It is not water resistant, so keep it out of a bathroom.

How to install

Nevalto needs some assembly and then fixes to the wall. It runs on a rechargeable battery, so there is no wiring to connect.

Charge the rechargeable bulb with a USB cable.
Assemble the sconce and fix it to the wall.
Fit the included LED bulb into the E27 holder.
Switch it on, then set the brightness and the color.

Good to know

Set the timer function at bedtime.
The bulb itself is rechargeable, so charging the light means charging the bulb.

What makes it good

It runs on a rechargeable battery, so a hallway or landing wall with no outlet can still have a light by the stairs.
Stepless dimming from 0% to 100% lets you keep it at full power while you tidy the bedroom and turn it low once you are in bed.
Warm 3000K suits a living room in the evening. In a den or a guest room, the 12 RGB colors and the Fade and Smooth modes add some color.
At 4.7 in (12 cm) wide, the shade suits a narrow strip of wall beside a headboard.
Beside the bed, the timer function is there to set at night.
