$173.00

Two birds light up from the inside, so the glow comes from their white bodies instead of a lampshade. A nightstand or side table gets a quiet, playful touch in the evening.

No bulb to buy before you use it: the LED light source is part of the lamp and comes with it.
Lights up from the nearest outlet: it has its own cord and plug for the wall.
Something to look at even when it is off: gold backs and long gold tails over white bodies.

Description

Nirelta, a lamp with two glowing birds

Nirelta places two birds at different heights on one lamp. The upper bird faces one way and the lower bird faces the other. Each has a gold back and a long gold tail over a white body. When you switch the lamp on, the light comes from those white shades, so both birds glow. The light source is an integrated LED that comes with the lamp, so you don't need to buy a bulb. The lamp plugs in on a 59.1 in (150 cm) wire and stands on a round black base. The finish is black and gold.

Where to put it

Put it on a bedroom nightstand or on a side table next to the living room sofa. A dresser, a hallway console or a dining room sideboard works too. Pick a spot within reach of a wall outlet. The lamp is for indoor use and is not waterproof.

What makes it good

The gold and white birds give a bedroom nightstand something to look at whether the lamp is on or off.

A 59.1 in (150 cm) wire runs to the wall outlet, which leaves some room to pick a spot on a side table by the sofa.
The lamp stands on its own round black base and only needs a flat surface such as a dresser or a dining room sideboard.
When the lamp is on, both white bird bodies glow, which puts a lit accent on a hallway console in the evening.
