$223.00

After sunset, light slips out from under the stone and spreads across the wall behind it. By day, the travertine and wood still give a plain living room wall something to look at.

No surprises at install: it is hardwired for an electrician to connect, and switches are not included.
Reading light with no side table needed: it mounts on the wall beside your armchair.
Matches the wood already in your room: the woodwork comes in Walnut Color or Wood Color.

Description

Relmino, a travertine dome on an arm

An arm reaches out from the wall, and a dome of yellow travertine hangs from it on a cord with the light sitting just below the stone. The shade is 5.9 in (15 cm) across and 7.1 in (18 cm) tall, and the travertine carries its own pores and markings. Light drops from under the dome and spreads onto the wall behind it. It runs off your house wiring and turns on at your wall switch. The socket takes a G9 bulb. The woodwork comes in Walnut Color or Wood Color.

Where to put it

Hang one on each side of the bed at reading height. It works beside an armchair in a reading nook, and on a living room wall that needs light after dark. Indoor rooms only, and it is not waterproof.

How to install

Relmino is wired into the circuit, so this one is a job for an electrician.

What you need: an electrician and a wall switch, since switches are not supplied

Have an electrician wire the lamp in and fix it to the wall.

Good to know

Set the height you want before the electrician makes the connection.
Leave clearance in front of the wall for the arm and the hanging shade.

What makes it good

It is wired in, so nothing trails down the bedroom wall to a socket.
Light falls from under the stone dome and lands on the wall beside a reading chair.
The travertine shade brings a natural stone surface to a living room wall above the sofa.
Two wood finishes, Walnut Color and Wood Color, let you match the wood already in the room.
The G9 source is replaceable, so you can change the bulb yourself when it fails.

WIRED TO THE HOUSE SUPPLY

An electrician connects Relmino to the circuit and fixes it to the wall. After that it runs from a standard wall switch.

Nothing plugs in. The wall carries the supply, so the plaster around the lamp stays plain and there is no socket beside it.

DOWNWARD LIGHT ON THE WALL

The bulb sits below the travertine dome. The light falls downward and spills onto the wall and onto whatever sits under it.

Turn it on at the wall switch when the armchair corner is the only place you need lit.

THE LAMP LEAVES THE TABLE

Mounted beside the bed, Relmino takes the place of a bedside lamp, so the nightstand keeps its surface for a book and a glass of water.

Fix it beside the headboard at the height you read at, or put one on each side of a double bed.

Common questions

Does it need an electrician?

Yes. Relmino is hardwired, and the maker recommends that an electrician connects it and fixes it to the wall.

What bulb does it take?

A G9 base bulb. The LED light source is replaceable, so you can change it when it goes.

How do I turn it on and off?

From a switch on the wall. It works with a standard wall switch, and switches are not supplied with the lamp.

How big is it?

The travertine shade is 5.9 in (15 cm) across and 7.1 in (18 cm) tall, and every model uses that same shade. Allow room in front of the wall for the arm and the shade that hangs from it.

What is it made of?

Metal and wood for the body and arm, with a yellow travertine shade. The stone is natural, so the pores and the markings fall differently on each one.

Can it go in a bathroom?

No. It is stated as indoor only and not waterproof, so keep it to dry rooms such as a bedroom or a reading corner.
