Remilvo Rechargeable Wall Sconce

Remilvo, a gold sconce with a woven shade

Remilvo's slim gold arm curves up from a round backplate and bends over an open woven shade, and a short tail sits below the plate. Pale fabric strands cross the shade with gaps between them, so the bulb's glow shows through and spills onto the wall. The light comes from the included rechargeable E27 LED bulb, which you charge by USB. That makes this a cordless sconce, and you don't have to find an outlet for it. You can pick one of the white settings or a color mode and set one of 10 brightness levels, and a touch turns it on and off. The frame is iron with a plated gold finish.

Where to put it

Mount it beside the bed instead of a table lamp to keep the nightstand clear, or put it on a hallway or landing wall that has no outlet nearby. In a living room it adds a second light beside the sofa, and the color modes work well for a movie night.

Good to know

• It has three timer modes, so you can set the light on a timer.
• The light has three white settings, so choose warm 2700 K for a relaxed evening glow, 4000 K in between, or crisper 5000 K when you want whiter light.

• A rechargeable battery charged over USB powers it, so you can have a lamp on a hallway or bedroom wall that has no outlet.
• Warm 2700K white suits a living room in the evening. In a home office, the cooler 4000K and 5000K settings give a crisper white.
• Brightness has 10 levels, from 10% for a soft glow at bedtime up to 100% when you want more light in the room.
• Once it is charged, the light runs wirelessly, so the wall beside your headboard stays free of cables and so does the nightstand.
• For a movie night or a party, the 12 RGB color modes with smooth and flash effects bring color to a living room.
