Description

Rimelota, a glass mushroom lamp for tables

Rimelota has a broad, rounded cap and a bulbous glass base, with a narrow waist between them. It comes in Brown or White. When you switch it on, light passes through the speckled glass shade and the base together, and soft pools of light fall on the table around it. A USB cable powers it, and the LED bulbs come with it. You turn it on with a push-button switch, then pick one of three color temperatures: warmer light for the evening or whiter light for the day. It is 5.9 in (15 cm) wide, so it takes up very little room.

Where to put it

Put it on a nightstand in the bedroom, on a small side table next to a sofa or armchair in the living room, or at the corner of a desk in a home office. It is 7.1 in (18 cm) high, so it also sits comfortably on a bookshelf. Pick a spot where the USB cable can reach a power source.
