Rovenila, a bare bulb on a ring

A circle of metal sits flat against the wall. A short stem projects from it and ends in an upright open ring, and a black twisted cord loops through that ring to hold a cylindrical bulb holder below. Nothing shades it, so it stays in plain view and its light falls on the plaster beside it. The metal is iron with a gold-tone plated finish. You add one E27 LED bulb, bought separately, and a knob switch turns the light on and off. It runs on AC 90 to 260 V.

Where to put it

Mount one on each side of the bed at headboard height instead of a nightstand lamp, or put one next to a hallway mirror. It also works as a small accent light on a living room wall.
