Free to stand where it looks best: it runs on a rechargeable battery, not a wall socket.
Steady on the table: a round metal base, and the lamp weighs about 1.3 lb (0.6 kg).
No new lamp when the bulb goes: the LED bulb inside is replaceable, and one is included.

Description

Sanovire, a cordless lamp with fabric shade

Sanovire is about 15.7 in (40 cm) tall and sits on a stepped round base. A slender brushed gold stem carries a pale fabric shade that widens toward its lower edge. The light passes through the cloth and spreads across the tabletop and onto the wall behind it, about 300 lumens softened by the shade. It charges up and then runs without a cord, so the table it stands on needs no socket. The light is warm white (3000K).

Where to put it

Set it on a nightstand beside the bed, or on the dining table through dinner. A side table in the living room suits it in the evening, where it works as ambient light. A shelf or a sideboard takes it too, as long as the surface is flat and stable. It is made for indoor rooms.

How to use

Sanovire stands on its own on a table and runs on a rechargeable battery, so it is ready to use once it is charged.

What you need: A flat, stable surface for the lamp to stand on.

Unpack the lamp along with the one LED bulb that comes with it.
Charge the lamp first, because it runs on a rechargeable battery.
Choose its spot in a bedroom, the living room or on the dining table.
Set the round base down flat so the lamp stands steady by itself.

Good to know

The light is warm white, 3000K.
The bulb is a replaceable E14 LED bulb, so a worn out bulb can be changed and you keep the lamp.

What makes it good

It lights a dining table that sits nowhere near a socket.
The white fabric shade diffuses the bulb, so an evening in the living room gets ambient light.
One LED bulb comes with the lamp, and you can replace the E14 bulb when it stops working.
The warm white 3000K light suits a bedroom, a living room or a dinner table in the evening.
The round metal base sits flat and steady on a nightstand or a sideboard.

THE TABLE NEEDS NO SOCKET

A rechargeable battery powers the lamp, so the table it stands on needs no socket and nothing has to be wired in. Charge it, then set it down where you want the light.

That leaves the lamp free to stand where you want it on the table rather than at the end nearest an outlet. It is made for indoor rooms.

SOFT LIGHT FOR THE CONSOLE

The lamp gives about 300 lumens, and the light comes out through the fabric shade. It spreads over the surface around the base and onto the wall behind instead of pointing one way.

On a console by the front door, that covers the tabletop, the wall behind it and the floor at its foot. It is ambient light for a spot you pass through, not a reading light.

STEADY ON THE BEDSIDE TABLE

The round metal base stands the lamp on its own, so a nightstand, a shelf or a sideboard can carry it as long as the surface is flat and stable.

The base sits flat on the nightstand with room left beside it for the things you keep there. Carry it to another room and it stands the same way there.
