Selorna Rechargeable Wall Sconce

$188.00

That dark stretch of hallway wall can finally have its own light. A gold arm holds the shade out from the wall, and at night the light falls softly below it.

No cord trailing down to a socket: it runs on a rechargeable battery that you charge with a USB cable.
More light when you want it, less at bedtime: you can adjust the brightness.
A clear nightstand by the bed: it mounts on the wall, so the table stays free.

Description

Selorna, a shaded gold rechargeable wall sconce

Selorna holds a shade out from the wall on a curved arm, with the LED underneath and a metal base against the wall. The body is gold iron, which gives a pale wall a warm metal accent even when the lamp is off. It is cordless. A rechargeable battery powers it and you charge it with a USB cable, so the lamp doesn't need to be near an outlet. A switch controls it, and you can adjust the brightness: keep it up when you need light and turn it down at bedtime.

Where to put it

Put one beside the bed in place of a table lamp, or hang a pair on either side of a headboard. It works on a hallway or entryway wall with no outlet nearby. It also works on a living room wall beside an armchair, where it lights a reading corner and you don't need a lamp on the side table.

How to install

This sconce runs on its own rechargeable battery, so putting it up comes down to charging it and fixing it to the wall where you want the light.

Charge the battery with a USB cable.
Fix the lamp to the wall where you want the light.
Turn it on with the switch.
Adjust the brightness to suit the room.

Good to know

The battery is recharged with a USB cable, so choose the spot for the light rather than for an outlet.
Turn the brightness down at bedtime for a softer light beside the bed.

What makes it good

Because it runs on a rechargeable battery, it can light a bedside or hallway wall that has no outlet.
Turn the brightness down in the bedroom at night, or up when you want more light in the hallway.
Fixed to the wall beside the bed, it leaves the whole nightstand free for a book, a phone and a glass of water.
Its gold iron body adds a warm metal note to a bedroom or living room wall.
It's cordless and charges with a USB cable, so you have no cord to run down a living room wall.
