Simaelo, a compact glass panel wall light

Simaelo is a small upright rectangle, 7.3 in (18.5 cm) wide and 7.7 in (19.5 cm) high, built from overlapping glass panels with rounded corners. The glass is clear and the texture is uneven, so the warm light from the bulb breaks into irregular bands that travel up the wall and down it. Between the panels sit darker reflective strips, and the gold tone of the bulb holder shows through them. The finish is plated, listed as black. The LED bulb is included, and the cord ends in a plug, so it runs on AC power at 90 to 260 V from an outlet.

Where to put it

On a living room wall beside the sofa it gives warm light in the evening. In a hallway, the bands it throws give a bare run of wall something to look at, and in a bedroom it fits the narrow space beside the door. It is not water resistant.
