Talomi Plug-in Wall Sconce

Talomi, a double-head plug-in wall sconce

Talomi has two short round shades, one stacked above the other on a round backplate. The top shade opens upward and the bottom one opens downward, so light goes up the wall and down it at the same time. Each shade takes an E27 bulb that you can replace. The cord plugs into a wall outlet and has a switch for turning the light on and off. The iron body has a smooth colored surface. It comes in a single color (beige, green, pink, red or black), as a two-color pairing, or with green and white or pink and red shades on a beige base.

Where to put it

Put it on a living room wall above a side table, or on a bedroom wall next to the bed. It's small enough for a narrow bit of wall beside a bookcase in a study, or for a short hallway wall. Choose a wall with an outlet the cord can reach.

• Type: double-head wall sconce, one head facing up and one facing down
• Sizes: 4.7 in (12 cm) across
• Backplate: round backplate behind the two shades
• Material: metal (iron), smooth colored surface
• Light source: takes two replaceable E27 bulbs, one in each head
• Control: switch on the cord
• Power: plug-in, the cord plugs into a wall outlet

Talomi runs from a wall outlet through its cord.

1. Fit an E27 bulb in each head, one facing up and one facing down.
2. Plug the cord into the wall outlet.
3. Turn the light on and off with the switch on the cord.

Good to know

• Pick a spot within reach of a wall outlet, because the cord plugs into it.
• The bulbs are replaceable, so when one needs changing, put another E27 bulb in its head.

• Because the cord plugs into a wall outlet, you can put a sconce on a living room or bedroom wall without new wiring.
• One head lights the wall above and the other lights the wall below, so a bare hallway wall has something to look at in the evening.
• It measures 4.7 in (12 cm) across, small enough for the narrow strip of wall beside a bookcase or a doorway.
• You turn it on and off with a switch on the cord, which makes a bedroom sconce easy to use at night.
• Both heads take replaceable E27 bulbs, so when one burns out in a study or dining room, you swap the bulb and keep the sconce.
