Tamirel, a rechargeable light bar for pictures

Tamirel is a slim cylindrical bar in matte black or gold, held out from a flat rectangular wall housing on two curved arms. That reach lets the light clear the top of a frame and fall down the picture, while a pale diffuser underneath spreads some onto the wall beside it. It is cordless and charges from a USB cable, so there is no plug and no wiring. Brightness and the choice of warm, neutral or cool light come from the remote, or touch the body to switch it on.

Fix the rear housing flat to the wall, screwed or stuck in place.
Switch it on by touching the body or with the remote, then set the brightness and the color of the light.

Good to know

Very deep or oversized frames can block the light and cut down how far it spreads, so it works best over frames of a standard depth.
A timer can switch the light off on its own after a set time, so the artwork does not stay lit all night.
