Description

Telavvo, a slim light bar for artwork

Telavvo extends across the wall on a short central arm, with a rounded oblong backplate behind it. A narrow strip beneath the bar casts a broad wash of light down over a painting or mirror. The light source stays tucked under the fixture. The cordless design lets you place it where the picture belongs, without needing an outlet nearby. A touch sensor switches it on, changes the light color and dims it. The Black & Gold finish combines a dark bar with gold accents. Gold and Nickel & Gold are also available.

Where to put it

Place Telavvo above a framed painting in a hallway or living room, or over a bedroom dressing mirror. The downward light reaches artwork more easily with standard thickness frames than with very deep frames. Use it only indoors in dry locations.

How to install

Telavvo attaches to the wall without connecting to your home's electrical wiring.

What you need: Mounting hardware and a USB power bank, laptop or USB adapter for charging.

Charge the lamp before first use with the included USB cable connected to a power bank, laptop or USB adapter.
Mount the fixture above the artwork or mirror using screws or adhesive.
Touch the sensor to switch on the light, change the light color and adjust the brightness.

Good to know

Standard thickness picture frames are recommended because very deep frames may limit how far the light reaches.
Use only indoors in dry locations, away from wet areas.

What makes it good

Light a hallway picture without a wall outlet or electrical work.
The downward wash spreads across living room artwork, with no exposed bulb above the frame.
Use touch dimming to lower the brightness for an evening beside a favorite painting.
Choose warm white for evening accent lighting or a cooler light color above a dressing mirror.
Mount the wall bar above a bedroom mirror to leave the dresser free of a lamp.

Common questions

Do I need an electrician, and how does it mount?

No electrician or electrical wiring is needed. The fixture mounts directly to the wall with screws or adhesive and does not need an outlet during use.

How do I charge it?

Connect the included USB cable to a power bank, laptop or USB adapter. Charge the lamp before first use.

Can I change the light from warm to cool?

Yes. The touch sensor lets you select warm 3000K, neutral 4000K or cool 6000K light. These are three selectable modes, rather than a continuous range.

Can I dim it?

Yes. The touch sensor dims the light smoothly, so you can set the brightness you want.

How strong is the light on each length?

The 26.8 in (68 cm) version is 12 W, the 38.6 in (98 cm) version 18 W and the 50.4 in (128 cm) version 24 W. The light falls downward over the wall, artwork or mirror area.

Which size should I choose?

Choose by the bar's length: 26.8 in (68 cm), 38.6 in (98 cm) or 50.4 in (128 cm). Every length sits 3.1 in (8 cm) out from the wall, and the bar is 1.8 in (4.5 cm) wide. Measure the space above your frame or mirror before choosing.

Can I put it above a bathroom mirror?

It is made for indoor, dry locations and is not waterproof, so keep it out of a bathroom. Over a dressing mirror in a bedroom it does the same job.

Will it light a picture with a deep frame?

Standard thickness frames are recommended. A very deep or thick frame may limit the light's reach across the artwork.
