Description

Tilvara, a stained-glass lamp for small tables

Tilvara has a low, rounded stained-glass shade with an opening at the top. A narrow metal stem holds it up and widens into a round base. With the lamp on, light passes through the glass and the shade itself glows, giving a table a soft accent in the evening. It runs from a wall outlet, and a button switch turns it on and off. It takes one E27 bulb (not included), and it does not dim. The lamp is 11.8 in (30 cm) tall, and the shade comes in beige, green or white.

Where to put it

Put it on a bedroom nightstand, a side table by the living room sofa, or an entryway console, anywhere the cord can reach a wall outlet. It is also small enough for a bookshelf or the corner of a desk. The lamp is made for indoor use, so keep it inside the house.

How to use

Tilvara stands on a table and connects to a wall outlet. It needs one bulb before its first use.

What you need: one E27 bulb, since the lamp comes without one, and a wall outlet within reach.

Set the lamp on a table, nightstand or console near a wall outlet.
Fit one E27 bulb in the lamp.
Plug the cord into the wall outlet.
Press the button switch to turn the lamp on and off.

Good to know

No bulb comes with the lamp, so have one E27 bulb ready when you unpack it.
The lamp does not dim, so choose a bulb that gives the amount of light you want.

What makes it good

With the lamp on, the glass shade glows and gives a bedroom nightstand soft light for the evening.
It is 11.8 in (30 cm) tall and 11.0 in (28 cm) across, small enough for an entryway console or a small side table.
Because it runs from a wall outlet, you can move it from the living room side table to the bedroom, or anywhere else with an outlet nearby.
One press of the button switch turns it on or off, which makes it easy to light by the sofa in the evening.
Pick a beige, green or white shade to match the colors of your living room or bedroom.
