Description

Timarelo, a glass lamp you can carry

Timarelo has a rounded body of glossy glass with gently flattened sides. It sits on a low, circular gold-tone base, with a matching fitting on top. Above that fitting rises a dark loop, which you use to pick the lamp up and move it. The light source is hidden inside the glass, so the glass itself is what you see lit. A rechargeable battery powers it, and a touch switch at the top turns it on. Brightness can be set at any level, and there are three light-color settings. The glass is fired at high temperature and the fittings are electroplated.

Where to put it

Put it on a bedside cabinet as the lamp you use at the end of the day, or on a side table. It also fits on a windowsill, and you can carry it by its loop to another room. It is made to stand freely on a tabletop.

What makes it good

While it is lit, a rechargeable battery runs it, so it can sit on a bedside cabinet or a windowsill with no outlet close by.
Brightness can be set at any level, so you can keep it low on a bedroom nightstand late in the evening.
With three colors of light to choose from, the same lamp can suit a side table and a bedside cabinet in the bedroom.
When you want the light somewhere else, the carrying loop lets you take it to another room.
During the day, the glossy glass in cream pink, cream yellow or cream white on its gold-tone base adds color to a side table.
