Description

Tirsalo, a swinging arm globe wall sconce

Tirsalo holds a frosted glass globe out from the wall on an arched arm that rises from a circular wall plate. The bulb sits inside the globe, so you see the glass lit from within. Push the lamp body gently and the arm turns left or right. You can bring the globe over toward the bed or move it out of the way. It is a plug-in light, and the cord runs to a wall outlet. It takes one LED bulb with an E14 base, which you buy separately, and it is not dimmable. The body is metal with a plated finish.

Where to put it

Put one beside the bed over a nightstand, or one on each side of the headboard. It also works on a dining room wall above a sideboard or the dining table, or on a living room wall beside a sofa or reading chair. It is not water resistant, so keep it out of a bathroom and use it on a bedroom wall instead.

How to install

Tirsalo runs from a wall outlet, so nothing connects to the wiring inside your walls.

What you need: An LED bulb with an E14 base, which is not included.

Fit an LED bulb with an E14 base.
Plug the cord into a wall outlet.
Push the lamp body gently to turn the arm left or right until the globe sits where you want it.

Good to know

The bulb is not included, so have an LED bulb with an E14 base ready.
It is not water resistant, so keep it out of a bathroom and use it on a bedroom or dining room wall.

What makes it good

The cord plugs into a wall outlet, so you can add globe light to a bedroom or living room wall without new wiring.
A gentle push on the lamp body turns the arm left or right, so you can move the globe toward the bed or a reading chair.
Because it is on the wall, the nightstand below stays free for a book, a glass and your phone.
There are two globe sizes, small and large, so a bedside wall and a dining room wall can each get the one that suits it.
You choose the bulb yourself: it takes one LED bulb with an E14 base, and you can swap it whenever you want.

FROSTED GLASS SOFTENS THE BULB

Tirsalo's frosted glass globe covers the bulb, so you see one even glow instead of a bright point of light.

The light spreads around the globe and onto the wall beside it, which gives the table area a gentle light after dark. It takes one E14 LED bulb, which is not included.

KEEPS THE DESK CLEAR

Tirsalo is wall mounted, so a desk below it keeps its whole top for a laptop and papers, with no lamp base taking up room.
