Description

Tisello, an adjustable plug-in wall light

Tisello holds a compact tapered shade on a short arm, clear of a shallow circular wall base. Light comes through the white acrylic diffuser at the shade opening and spreads onto the wall around it. Move the head and the arm to put the light on a desk or a book, or tilt it back to wash the wall with light. The aluminum body comes in black, white or red, with a matching cord below the base. It runs from a wall outlet and an inline switch on the cord works the LED.

Where to put it

Mount Tisello beside the bed in place of a table lamp, or above a desk so the work surface stays clear. It also suits the wall beside a living room chair, where tilting the shade back bounces the light off the wall. Keep it within reach of an outlet. Indoor, dry locations only.

How to install

The fixture mounts on the wall. The power connection is a plug into a wall outlet.

What you need: Mounting hardware and an outlet within reach of the 59.1 in (150 cm) cord

Fix the fixture to the wall at the height you want.
Connect the wall plug to the outlet.
Aim the shade toward the area you want to light, then turn it on with the inline cord switch.

Good to know

The cord plugs into a wall outlet; the fixture specification is AC 110 to 240 V.
Check the cord's intended route to the outlet before choosing the mounting position.

What makes it good

It plugs into an outlet with no hardwiring, so light can go on a bedroom wall without electrical work.
Adjust the head and arm to send light onto a book beside your living room chair.
Angle the shade back and the light lands on the wall, for reflected ambient light in a seating area.
Mount the lamp above a desk to leave the work surface free for your papers.
The LED is built in, so there is no bulb to buy or replace.

NO HOUSE WIRING INVOLVED

Tisello takes its power from a wall outlet, so nothing has to be run into the wall to put it up.

It goes on a plain wall above a desk, where the lit shade puts light on the work surface below and spreads it on the wall around the fixture.

POINTS DOWN FOR TASK LIGHT

Both the head and the short arm move, so the shade can be turned down over a console table or a counter and hold the light on that one spot. It stays at the angle you set it to.

The compact shade measures 6.3 in (16 cm) out from the wall and 3.7 in (9.5 cm) high, with a 12 W LED built in behind a white diffuser at the opening.

Common questions

Do I need an electrician to connect it?

No hardwiring is required. The lamp connects to a wall outlet with its power cord, though the fixture still needs to be mounted on the wall.

Can I move both the head and the arm?

Yes. Both articulate, allowing you to direct light toward a reading spot or angle it back for reflected ambient light.

How long is the power cord?

The cord is 59.1 in (150 cm) long. Plan the lamp's position so the cord can reach your outlet along its intended route.

Where is the on and off switch?

The on/off switch is inline on the power cord.

Does it need a separate light bulb?

No. The LED is built into the fixture, rated 12 W, so there is no bulb to fit.

What finishes can I choose?

The aluminum body is available in Black, White or Red. Each finish has a white acrylic diffuser at the shade opening.

How big is the fixture?

The fixture measures 6.3 in (16 cm) long and 3.7 in (9.5 cm) high.

Which plug does it come with?

It plugs into a wall outlet. The fixture specification lists AC 110 to 240 V.
