Tomelira Rechargeable Wall Light (Set of 2)

$238.00

Swap your table lamps for a matching pair on the wall and get your nightstands back. Each one lights just the spot you aim it at, so your side of the bed gets its own light.

Light where there is no socket: each lamp runs on its own rechargeable battery, with nothing wired in.
No glare when you lie down: the light face sits back inside the head, keeping it off your eyes.
No cord left on the wall: you top up each lamp with the included cable, then nothing stays plugged in.

Description

Tomelira, a small adjustable wall light

Tomelira is a short cylinder that stands out from a rounded wall plate, in black or white plastic. The light face sits back inside a ribbed opening, so what you see is a pool of light on the wall below rather than a glow in every direction. The head is adjustable, so that pool can point down a hallway wall or onto the surface underneath. It runs on its own charge, and the cable in the set tops it up. Nothing joins your house wiring. The remote sets the color of the light between 3000K and 6000K.

Where to put it

Mount the pair at head height either side of the bed in place of table lamps, or space them along a hallway wall that has no socket. They suit the wall beside a dressing mirror as well. Keep them indoors and on a wall that stays dry.

Size and details

Type: rechargeable wall lamp with an adjustable directional head
Sizes: 3.0 in (7.5 cm) across, 1.8 in (4.5 cm) high, sold as a set of two
Material: plastic, black or white
Light source: integrated LED
Color temperature: 3000K to 6000K
Control: remote control
Power: built-in rechargeable battery, 5V, no hardwiring
Charging: charging cable included
Mounting: wall mounted
Use: indoor
In the box: two lamps with integrated LEDs, mounting hardware, charging cable

How to install

Both lamps are wireless, and each one goes up on the wall the same way.

What you need: the hardware that comes with the lamps and the charging cable.

Charge both lamps with the charging cable before you put them up.
Hold a lamp against the wall at the height you want and check the position.
Fit it to the wall with the hardware supplied, following the instructions in your set, and check it sits straight.
Set the head so the light points where you want it, then do the same with the second lamp.
Switch on and set the color you want with the remote.

Good to know

The light falls below the head, so leave clear wall underneath each lamp.
The head is adjustable, so you can point the light along the wall or at a mirror.

What makes it good

A cordless pair lights a hallway wall that has no socket near it.
The adjustable head sends the light onto a dressing mirror rather than into the room.
Pick a warmer light for the evening or a cooler one for a dressing mirror, both from the remote.
Two lamps come in each set, so a pair can flank an entryway console or a mirror.
The recessed face keeps the light off your eyes beside the bed.

NO CIRCUIT BEHIND IT

Each lamp runs on its own charge, so it can go on a hallway wall that has no socket along it and no switch beside it.

What shows on the wall is the small cylinder on its plate and the light it throws below. The floor under it stays clear and the wall runs unbroken to the corner.

THE LIGHT LANDS WHERE AIMED

The head is adjustable, so the light can go down onto the bedside table or along the wall beside you.

The head sits at the angle it is set to, and the pool of light falls where it is aimed. Seen from the side, a short joint sits behind the head.

NOTHING ON THE DRESSING TABLE

Fixed to the wall beside a dressing mirror, it lights the spot without a base or a cord taking up room on the table below.

Each set has two lamps, so you can mount one on each side of the mirror and point both heads towards the glass.

Common questions

Does it need wiring or an outlet?

No. Each lamp runs on its own charge, so the wall you pick needs no socket on it and no wiring behind it.

How do I charge it?

A charging cable comes with the set, and each lamp charges from it. Nothing stays plugged into the wall once they are back up.

Can I change the color of the light?

Yes. The remote sets the color of the light from 3000K warm to 6000K cool, so a bedroom can stay warm in the evening and a dressing mirror gets cooler light.

Is the head adjustable?

Yes. The head is adjustable, so the light can be aimed down the wall or onto a bedside table.

How does it fix to the wall?

It fixes to the wall behind its plate, and the instructions that come with your set cover the way to fit it.

Do I get one lamp or two?

Two. Each set is a pair in the color you choose, which covers both ends of a bed or a mirror.

Does it come with a bulb?

The LED is built in and arrives fitted, so there is nothing to buy or fit before you switch the lamp on.

Can I put it in a bathroom?

It is made for indoor use, so keep it out of a bathroom. Beside a dressing mirror in a bedroom it does the same job.
