With the lamp on, you can see the bulb through the weave, and the tan shade glows against the wall. The shade hangs from a twisted cord below the bracket. This is a plug-in light, with a cord that runs to a wall outlet and a switch on the cord that turns it on and off. It takes an E26 bulb, incandescent or LED.
